Moving to Richfield

As part of eastern Minnesota's Hennepin County, Richfield is a community that is thriving in population growth and economically. The electronics giant Best Buy has its headquarters in Richfield and employs many of the town's 35,000 residents and it gives back to the community in so many ways. Richfield is also just minutes away from Minneapolis and the Twin Cities, making it convenient to get to the big city without going far from home.

The Richfield Parks and Recreation Department takes care of many programs and activities throughout the community and it is also responsible for the upkeep of the neighborhood parks. There are more than 20 parks in Richfield, including Fremont Park at 7445 Fremont Avenue, Heredia Park at 6710 Portland Avenue, Lincoln Field at 7500 Pleasant Avenue and Madison Park at 6244 Knox Avenue. Each park is equipped with its own unique equipment, including playground equipment, sports fields and courts and picnic areas. If you cannot find what you are looking for at one park, just drive to the next one. The department also encourages residents to volunteer to keep the parks clean and safe through the Adopt a Park program. For more information about individual parks or how you can help keep your community beautiful, call John Evans at (612) 861-9395.

The Richfield Community Center, located at 7000 Nicollet Avenue South, is the place to go for recreation, fitness and activities.
